SALEEM AHMAD & SONS was established in the year of 1984. This company is totally a manufacturing unit making the wooden and Iron furniture as well as handicraft items and is exporting the goods being made in it's own factories.
The handicraft items this company is making are Photo Frames, Lamps, Mirror Frames, Candle Holders, Trays, Balls, Bowls, Wall Scones, Magazine Rack, Big Garden Furniture as well as Decorative and Office Furniture. The company is exporting all the goods to various countries i.e. USA, Norway, France, Belgium, Spain, Denmark, Korea etc.
At present, 3 units are running. The Land area of the first factory (Khajoor Tala) is 27000 Sq feet. The area of the second factory (Azad Colony) is 75000 Sq Feet and the area of the third factory (Indra Chowk) is 4000 Sq Feet where total 1500 workers are working in 2 shifts. The Turnover of the company is more than Rs. 12 crore (USD 2.7 million approximately). The company has set the goal for Rs. 100 Crore (USD 22.7 million approx.) in the coming 5 years. To achieve these goals, the company has made a project for 2 more units and these units are under construction. The area of one unit (Dhatauli Rangarh) is 1,25,000 Sq Feet and the area of another unit (Habib Garh) is more than 2,00,000 Sq Feet. Both the factories will start to give the output within coming days. At present, the Capacity of the company is 20-25 containers per month but after these 2 factories get started the capacity will reach up to 50-60 containers per month.
The company is using only dry wood and to dry the wood, it has its own 8 (eight) Wood Seasoning Plants where wood gets dry around the clock (24 hrs.) It also has its own Powder Coating Plant, a Chemical Treatment Plant for iron to avoid the rust and a Wood Testing Lab where various type of tests are done.
Besides, it has its own Lamp Fitting Lab as well as Electric Fitting Test Lab. and is a UL certified company. It is purchasing the Electric Fitting Material from ARDITI, an Italian Company.
To achieve the goals, the company has also taken the Space of 50 Sq. Meters in INDIA EXPO MART, NOIDA to participate in the exhibition and this is a permanent booth throughout the year where Foreign Buyers can visit anytime and can place their valuable orders. {Company is also making the projects to participate in Foreign Exhibitions.}
Saleem Ahmad & Sons has already won the EXPORTS AWARDS from the STATE GOVT. for more than 7 times for it's best performance in the wooden handicrafts. It has also been nominated for the BEST EXPORT AWARD for the previous year 2005-06.
There are 4 partners named Mohd. Aslam, Mohd, Akram, Mohd Ajmal and Smt Khursheeda Bano. Mohd. Aslam, Mohd, Akram and Mohd Ajmal are the active and dynamic partners of the company. All these partners are very hard workers and have very Good Reputation in the local market as well as in the overseas market. They are giving their valuable guidelines regarding production, management and finance. The company is achieving the goals and winning the awards under their instructions and suggestions and these awards are the reward of their hard work and honesty.
Saleem Ahmad & Sons is also running a School named St. MARY ENGLISH PUBLIC SCHOOL for the people of the factory as well as poor people in the city. School is English Medium and Affiliated to the State Government. In the school, Saleem Ahmad & Sons, is providing the one set of uniform to the students free of cost in one session and there is also special discount allowed to the much more poor people.
In the end, Saleem Ahmad & Sons is a growing company. Company is giving the employment to many people and company is also doing the social work in shape of School. Company is increasing the business. So that, more people can get the employment.
